Description

Wirra Wirra Hickinbotham Vineyard cabernet

The Hickinbotham Vineyard was planted in 1971 in the northernmost part of McLaren Vale
and is steeped in Australian wine heritage. The biodynamically farmed vineyard sits at an elevation of 225m and is arrestingly beautiful with contoured rows framed by rolling hills. The soil is silt stone and clay.

The palate is vibrant with fresh blackberries and blueberries, lifted by hints of cardamom, nutmeg, and dark chocolate, woven together by a dusting of cedar oak and powdery tannins.

The bouquet shows classic Cabernet character, woody briar fruits, violets and black olive, layered with notes of earthy dried thyme and a touch of sweet oak.
