“Ground coffee, ripe plum/redcurrant and blackberry flavours sweep confidently through the palate, chicory and sweet earth characters carried along for the ride. It’s not flashy or necessarily seductive, but it’s the most impeccable Barossa shiraz you could ever hope to find. It will mature beautifully”.   95, Gold

Description

Turkey Flat Vineyards shiraz

The 2018 Turkey Flat Shiraz is tightly coiled. A wine of great finesse, the power and longevity of this wine will only be revealed with time, be that open for a day on your kitchen bench or a decade in your cellar. With time boysenberry, blackberry, violet, earth, clove toast and cedarwood will all be revealed to expose a wine of tension, restraint and underlying power.

“Brilliant Barossa Shiraz that comes off the back of an unnervingly good array of new releases. This sits just above medium weight with great depth of flavour but a levity and freshness born from fine tannin and bright acidity. Red berries, lots of sweeet spice, light herbal notes and judicious wood seasoning. This drinks like a charm”.
