The Kármán line is the limit between earth’s atmosphere and outer space. Kármán Wines seeks to go beyond the traditional confines in search of something new.
- A side project of Gómez Cruzado based in Haro, Rioja, the aim initially was to produce garnacha wines from the Alto Najerilla area. From the 2021 vintage, the Garnacha Tinto Rioja will be joined by a Tempranillo Tinto Rioja.
- The fruit is sourced from old, head-pruned vines from growers in the Cárdenas Valley in the villages of Badarán, Cárdenas, Cordovín and Cañas.
- The two Tinto Rioja wines are wild fermented in stainless steel and kept on lees for four months rendering fruit-driven, younger drinking styles.
