Planted on the old cattle holding yard, Slaughterhouse Paddock Shiraz hails from our single vineyard range of wines. The fruit for this wine is exclusively sourced from one of the region’s oldest continuously producing Shiraz vines.
Hand-picked and open fermented using whole bunches for added structure and depth. this is a truly unique Shiraz from the region showing intensity and concentration that we have come to love.
Drink now or cellar 6-12 years
The wine exhibits a distinctive eucalypt character from the gum trees surrounding the vineyard and new American oak balances the strong white pepper with sweet vanilla.
Some of Heathcote’s oldest plantings, this vineyard has distinct terroir, making it unique in Heathcote and one of the prized vineyards of the Region. Dry grown, nestled on the McIvor Creek and surrounded by Eucalypts, the wine truly reflects a sense of place or provenance which is without peer.
