“Parcels of all five clones grown on the estate passed the strict selection process,
the wine matured in French oak (33% new). The bouquet is very fragrant and no less
complex with its exploration of wild strawberries picked before full ripeness, the full
box of exotic spices, and fine but unrelenting tannins. Not an easy vintage for pinot
noir, but this is seriously good.”

Ashton Hills Reserve pinot noir
2016
The Reserve is the pinnacle of the range showing lifted perfume notes, and a depth of flavour,
character and length that should live beyond 10 years in the bottle. While displaying many of the
traits associated with the Estate Pinot Noir, the Reserve traditionally sees 30% of new oak and
tends to carry greater weight and structure, providing the “bones” for extended cellaring. By its nature,
quantities are very limited from each vintage.
